It seems like a matter of course – and yet it isn’t🧐.
It often requires that you are willing to let go of your own preconceptions, forms, future test requirements, etc. It requires that you really see the individual and dare to grasp the presence and the situation in the classroom. It requires that you basically perceive the students as co-creators of the language teaching, and this is not a matter of course at all. It requires both courage, sharp reflection and, not least, high professionalism as a teacher.
Thank you so much to researcher @Louise Tranekjær for the exciting presentation on our educational day. Also thanks for really fruitful discussions about the students’ motivation for language learning and about important themes such as work culture and norms, the students’ identity and community, empowerment and participation👏👏.
