Conclusion of the SOSU bridge programme in Herning

At the school in Herning, we recently celebrated the conclusion of the SOSU bridge programme – a project focused on strengthening students’ linguistic, professional, and personal skills as preparation for an education within the social and healthcare sector.

The closing event was both festive and meaningful, as the students received diplomas and were celebrated for their great efforts. In their speeches, the teachers highlighted the remarkable development the students have undergone – both linguistically and personally – and emphasized the importance of targeted teaching and practice-based learning for motivation and progress.

Several stuents also gave personal speeches to their teachers – in impressively fluent Danish. This is a testament to their linguistic progress, confidence, and dedication 💪🏼.

We were also pleased to welcome Lisbeth Munk from Herning Municipality, who expressed great satisfaction with the project’s results and praised the students’ engagement and growth during the job interviews for “On the Way to SOSU.”

The programme has demonstrated how close cooperation between the language centre, the municipality, and the social and healthcare education programmes can create strong learning pathways that enhance integration, educational readiness, and professional pride.
