Digital literacy and translanguaging – yes!

Being able to behave digitally is also a life hack for non-readers or ‘illiterate’ international citizens. That they also have a first language, a mother tongue, which is a resource and a capital that we must exploit systematically, because it is a shortcut to acquiring the target language.

These were central themes at a 3-day conference in Halmstad with participants from all over the Nordics and Germany, organized by the Nordisk Netværk for Voksnes Læring (NVL).

Together with 200 Nordic colleagues, our teacher Katrine Flytkjær Holm and head of education Bodil Schjemte participated in the intense and inspiring days – and have now returned home with luggage full of good ideas for implementation and collaboration with the connections we made with Nordic colleagues😁.
