Become a volunteer

Would you like to make a difference for people who are new to Denmark?

As a volunteer, you will meet people from many different countries and cultures. You will gain new experiences, become part of our volunteer team, expand your network, and develop your own communication and collaboration skills.

You do not need to be a teacher to become a volunteer. The most important thing is that you are willing to listen, be patient, and help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere. For example, you can assist with conversation practice, job searching, homework, or support participants in understanding Danish society and culture.

As a volunteer:

  • You are curious and ask open questions so that the students get to talk as much as possible during the time with you
  • You contribute with good energy, presence, openness and the ability to listen

We collaborate with DRC Danish Refugee Council. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to become a member and access a range of membership benefits through the Danish Refugee Council.

Operating agreements with municipalities

We provide Danish language education for adult foreign nationals and others under operating agreements with the following municipalities:

Horsens, Hedensted, Odder, Skanderborg, Herning and Ikast-Brande.
