Our courses in certified Danish Education will provide you with language skills and an understanding of Danish culture which opens up your opportunities when living in the Danish society and pursuing a career in Denmark.

Beginners level – register here

1. In-class activities: Monday and Wednesday 16.30-18.00 (4 lessons).
Plus online self-study (3 lessons) flexible during the week.
Starts Monday 24 January. Ends with a test 4 May.
2. In-class activities: Wednesday 16.30-19.00 (3 lessons).
Plus online self-study (3 lessons) flexible during the week.
Starts 26 January. Ends with a test 11 May.
3. In-class activities: Thursday 7.30-9.30 (2½ lessons).
Plus online self-study (3 lessons) flexible during the week.
Starts Thursday 27 January. Ends with a test 19 May
4. In-class activities: Thursdays 9.45-12.15 (3 lessons).
Plus online self-study (3 lessons) flexible during the week.
Starts Thursday 27 January. Ends with a test 19 May.

In-class tuition is held at Aarhus University, Department of Physics and Astronomy.

A minimum of 15 participants per course is required. Courses with fewer participants will be postponed or students will be offered alternative courses.

Intensive tuition for beginners level – register here   

5. 8 days of intensive tuition followed by seven weeks of online tuition:

Intensive tuition 17-26 January (6 lessons per day):
In-class tuition Monday-Friday at 8.15-10.45.
Plus online self-study 3 lessons pr day.

Online tuition from 31 January to 24 March (3 lessons per week):
You meet your teacher and fellow students in the virtual classroom once a week
and find exercises and receive feedback online.
Starts Monday 17 January. Ends with a test 23 or 24 March.

In-class tuition is held at Aarhus University, Department of Physics and Astronomy.

9. Danish Conversation for levels equivalent to Modules 4-6
Do you wish to keep your conversation skills and enhance your vocabulary in a social and appreciative learning environment?
Classes are once a week in late afternoon. Time and date upon agreement.

Get a smooth start

  • Sign up for a class which suits you. Choose from the list and pay the deposit of DKK 2,000 at registration.
  • Send documentation of your affiliation to Aarhus University to aarhus@sprogcentermidt.dk. It must be a copy of the first page of your contract of employment or the contract of employment of your spouse. You can send it either as a document or as a photo.
  • We will contact you by e-mail with further information about your course and details regarding our digital learning platform.
  • You must download our learning apps to your devices. We will send you a personal login to our digital platform and the learning apps a few days before you start.

General information
about Danish tuition

All internationals in Denmark are entitled to Danish tuition paid by their municipality in a limited period of 5 years from their arrival in Denmark.

When you register, you will be asked to pay a deposit of DKK 2,000. The deposit is refundable when you pass a test on your level within the given time frames.

Our courses are blended because we believe that it is the best way to learn a new language. You get the right combination of learning in-class with other students and learning online with self-studies. Thus we call our special developed classes for academics for SCM Combi.

In our courses, you will meet ambitious and highly qualified teachers who will work with you to meet your learning needs. Our innovative digital learning platform allows you to learn Danish your way with our help.

At in-class tuition you can
  • practice your verbal language and receive feedback on pronunciation
  • meet, collaborate and share ideas with other students at the same level as you
At online self-study tuition you can
  • view lesson plans, instructional videos and assignments for each online session
  • submit your hand-ins for the week and get individual feedback from your teacher
  • access a wide selection of supplementary materials and relevant links
