Danish Summer Language Course at Sprogcenter Midt, Horsens for international students

Explore the Danish language, culture and welfare society by participating in the summer school at Sprogcenter Midt. Through intensive Danish classes, the programme gives you the opportunity to obtain basic oral and written skills as well as a fundamental understanding of Danish society and culture.

Our Summer Language Course adresses international students, who are already enrolled or meets the requirements to enroll at a university.

Students already enrolled at an institution of Higher Education can apply for scholarship under the Cultural Agreements programme which is provided by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Students applying for scolarship should have the knowledge of Danish language equivalent to A1.

There is a limited number of scholarships. Applicants will be prioritized according to specific criteria. The selection of candidates is done according to the following criteria.

Facts and information

Key themes
Danish language and culture: Intercultural meetings, Danish values, welfare and democracy.

Duration and dates
3 weeks from 29 July-16 August, 2019.

Danish classes
20 lessons per week, from 9am-1pm, Monday-Friday. Danish classes will be organized around the three key themes. Read more

Cultural and social activities
Afternoons and evenings. Activities will provide participants with experience, knowledge and background understanding of key themes. Read more

Teaching style in Danish classes
Identification of individual and collective goals, which will be reached through active participation in dialogues, group work, workshops as well as individual exercises. Feedback will be given after student presentation of an aspect of the key theme of the week. Read more

Level of Danish classes
Beginners and A1.
Classes at respective levels by a minimum of 12 participants.
Documentation of participants’ Danish level is requested before enrollment.

English B2.
