Danish Online 3

Learn Danish with Danish Online 3 if you are a highly educated professional, academic or student in higher education.

With Danish Online 3, you are assigned a class where you weekly meet virtually with your teacher and fellow learners of Danish at corresponding level. During the week you work independently with your new vocabulary, exercises and assignments.

In Danish Online 3, you meet virtually once a week with your teacher and fellow students. Each week, you do your homework and prepare for the next lessons. Your teacher will guide you all the way and will give you verbal and written feedback. You also have an online community of fellow learners of Danish. Together, you learn about the structures of the language, and you practise and improve your Danish skills.

You get access to our digital learning platform, where you receive and submit assignments and get feedback from your teacher. Here you can also access videos, teaching material, extra exercises, links and audio files which are adapted to your level.

Danish Online 3 gives you language skills and an understanding of Danish culture, which opens up opportunities for your life in Denmark.

Danish Online 3 is for you who are a highly educated professional, an academic or a student in higher education. You have learned at least one foreign language, and you have a good knowledge of English and the grammatical terms.
You can study independently, and you can attend class each time and do the homework, which your teacher continuously gives you. In addition, it is important that you have a Danish network, so you can practise the Danish you have learned.

  • Before you can start at Danish Online 3, you must take an interview with our counsellor. The interview will be online or at one of our departments. The interview is your guarantee that you start in a class that suits your level and your goals. During the interview we will also inform you about our digital learning platform and apps.

    You will be placed at the highest level of Danish Education (Danish Education 3). You will be placed at the module that matches your level, and you will conclude each module with a module test.

    If your conditions or preferences change, you can change your course after passing a module test. Read more about our courses during daytime, in the evening or on Saturdays here.

    Danish lessons might be free for you, if you have lived in Denmark for less than 5 years, Read more here. Prior to the interview, we clarify whether you can have the Danish lessons paid for by your municipality. Therefore we ask for your CPR no. when you register.

    If you are entitled to free Danish lessons, you must pay a deposit of DKK 2,000 before starting class. You can get the deposit back if you pass your module test within a certain time frame. Read more about the deposit here.

  • We offer classes at all modules at Danish Education 3. Each class meets online on Tuesdays at 17:00-19:30.

    Each module concludes with a module test apart from module 5 which concludes with Exam in Danish 3. You must be able to attend the module test in person at one of our departments or at one of our business partners.

Danish Online 2

Learn Danish with Danish Online 2 if you have a short or medium school background from your home country

With Danish Online 2, you are assigned a class where you twice a week meet virtually with your teacher and fellow learners of Danish at corresponding level.

In Danish Online 2, you meet virtually with your teacher and fellow students twice a week. You learn to speak and write Danish, practicing with your fellow students. There will be homework at times, which you need to upload, and you will receive your assignments with corrections and comments from your teacher. Your teacher will guide you throughout and correct both your oral and written work.

You gain access to our digital learning platform, where you submit assignments and receive corrections from your teacher. Here, you can also watch videos, complete assignments, extra exercises, access links, and audio files tailored precisely to your level.

Danish Online 2 focuses on Danish language and culture, offering more opportunities for your life in Denmark.

  • You learn Danish to communicate with others – also in a Danish workplace.
  • You learn Danish by conversing with your teacher, submitting assignments, and collaborating with your fellow students.
  • You improve your ability to speak, understand, and write Danish while learning about Danish culture and society.

Danish Online 2 is for you who have a short or medium school background from your home country. You can speak and understand English at a basic level, and you can work independently on a computer. It is beneficial if you can speak Danish with others outside of school to practice the Danish, you have learned.

  • Before you can start at Danish Online 2, you must take an interview with our counsellor. The interview will be online or at one of our departments. The interview is your guarantee that you start in a class that suits your level and your goals. During the interview we will also inform you about our digital learning platform and apps.

    You will be placed at the medium level of Danish Education (Danish Education 2). You will be placed at the module that matches your level, and you will conclude each module with a module test.

FVU Online

Learn Danish with FVU Online if you can already speak and write Danish at a basic level. FVU is the continuation level, where you focus on reading, spelling, and writing.

With FVU Online, you are assigned a class where you weekly meet virtually with your teacher and fellow students.

In FVU Online, you meet virtually with your teacher and fellow students once a week. You will strengthen your vocabulary and reading speed, and you will obtain skills in reading, writing, and understanding different texts that are important to you in your everyday life. The texts can be messages, letters, e-mails, magazines, newspapers, instructions or texts from your workplace.

You get access to our digital learning platform, where you receive and submit assignments and get feedback from your teacher. Here you can also access videos, teaching material, extra exercises, links and audio files which are adapted to your level.

FVU Online is for you who can already speak and write Danish at a basic level, so you must have passed FVU start or have similar skills. FVU is the continuation level, where we focus on reading, spelling, and writing, and all communication will be in Danish. It is important that you can attend each week.

FVU Online is divided into 4 levels. Depending on the level, FVU can provide access to apply for permanent residence permit, Danish citizenship, and enrollment in a vocational education program.

  • Before you can start at FVU Online, you must take a screening. The screening will be at at one of our departments or online on a computer. The screening is your guarantee that you can start in a class that suits your level and your goals. During the interview we will also inform you about our digital learning platform and apps.

    FVU Online is divided into 4 levels, 1-4, each 40-80 lessons.

    FVU Online might be free of charge for you, even if you are not entitled to free Danish education because you have already passed a Danish Exam or have lived in Denmark for more than five years.

  • We offer classes at all levels. Each class meets online on Thursdays at 17:00-19:50.

You can repeat dialogues and exercises as many times as you want and you can record and evaluate your pronunciation yourself. You will learn dialogues for:

    The Danish lessons are structured systematically and you get feedback all the way.

    • In the first part, you will be introduced to new vocabulary through a video where you can watch, listen and read a dialogue. You can then practice the new vocabulary by recording and listening to yourself.
